Researchers
Yiyi Dong
I am a postdoctoral researcher. My work focuses on translating science into actionable biosecurity tools by synthesizing available evidence—diagnostics, biology, pathways, surveillance, and response options—to develop the New Pest Response Guidelines.
At the same time, I study the endosymbiont Wolbachia associated with bark and ambrosia beetles. The goal is to map endosymbiont occurrence across taxa and invasion status, identify ecological and evolutionary correlates of infection, and evaluate whether—and how—Wolbachia may influence beetle biology and invasion potential.
