Our Videos

We love capturing the need-to-know and weirdashell stories that you can only find in the forest. Over time, our lab has produced a library of videos covering our members’ projects and other forest topics. From mangrove invasions to a fungus that kills avocado trees, there’s probably a video about something you’d like.

Check out the films on the media page. Or better-yet watch them on our YouTube Channel. Consider subscribing to stay in the loop!

We also test our videos in social research projects. In the past, we’ve looked at how different video message frames influence human attitudes toward dead wood habitat conservation. Now, we are studying how online videos can influence lab reputations in the broader world. Each project pulls us closer to making videos that drive real change in forest entomology and beyond.

Do you have an idea for a video? Want to collaborate with us to bring your science to the screen? Then reach out to our video creator, Ben (b.schwartz (at) ufl.edu). He is always looking for the next story to shoot and edit.
